Born in Italy, Luigi La Ferla, studied sculpture before specialising in the art of mosaic. He has contributed to numerous exhibitions in Paris, Milan, Florence, Prague, Budapest and Berlin. Since 2016, he has organised the International Festival of Contemporary Mosaic in Paris (FIMCP). Alongside his artistic projects, he has also shared his wisdom through lectures and workshops in Florence, Pisa and Paris.
Luigi's project aims to capture the concept of Entropy through the art of Mosaic. In the realm of Entropy, as matter undergoes a transformation from one state to another, it releases energy devoid of vitality. However, through the act of mosaic, Luigi brings together the disparate elements, the fragments of rocks, and gives them a second life.
