‘THE WANDERING CLOUDS’
Constructed in 1626 at a different location during the feudal era, Ba Mu Temple was later relocated to its current position in Hoi An.
In this project, 11:11 Group worked closely with Bui Cong Khanh on the creative direction and documentary production of the bag. An art talk was hosted with Bui Cong Khanh on the opening night where he presented his ‘The Wandering Clouds’ Lady Dior artwork. Inspired by his hometown Hoi An, the piece beautifully reflects the harmony of nature and tradition.
In his project "The Wandering Clouds," Bui Cong Khanh takes inspiration from Buddhist philosophy, where clouds symbolize weightlessness and change. He draws from ceramic cloud motifs in Vietnamese pagodas and Ba My temple in his hometown, repaints them, and integrates them onto the Lady Dior Bag. This fusion symbolizes the blending of past and present, highlighting the boundless nature of clouds.
